Young experts forecast new challenges to international security and Ukraine's security

On 28 November 2014 on the initiative of Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation the practical training is held as part of Kyiv Youth Security Forum that will bring together young experts to model development of events in the international arena with participation of Ukraine.

09:45 – 10:45 the opening session will take place with participation of speakers: 

Tereziya Yatsenyuk, Head of Supervisory Council of the Open Ukraine Foundation;

Danylo Lubkivskiy, Vice minister of foreign affairs;

Andreas von Bekerath, Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine.

The session is open to the media.

The practical training is scheduled for one day. Making scenarios and forecasts by participants will be supported by experienced experts: 

  • Viktor ZAMYATIN, Lead expert of policy and legal programs;
  • Mykola KAPITONENKO, Executive director at Centre for International Studies; 
  • Nataliya NEMYLIVSKA, director of NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Ukraine;
  • Oleksandr SAMARSKIY, Ukrainian diplomat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine; 
  • Mykola SIRUK, editor of International and Information Department, "Day" daily newspaper.

It’s expected that as a result of practical work the participants in two weeks will present forecasts of changes in geopolitical location of the centres as well as ideas with regards to behaviour and policy of major international actors. The best works will be presented for public discussion with participation of experienced experts.

The event will take place on 28 November 2014 in Kyiv at Hilton Hotel (Taras Schevchenko boulevard, 30).

Kyiv Youth Security Forum (KSF-Y) is an initiative of the Open Ukraine Foundation that aims to create a platform for discussing by young experts from different countries the relevant issues of international relations and foreign policy of Ukraine.
