Ukraine will win and put an end to Putin’s Russia, Baramidze says
The Ukrainian people will emerge victorious from this face-off provoked by the RF aggression, and it will be the end of Putin’s Russia and a gift of freedom to the Russian people itself. This was emphasized by Giorgi Baramidze, Vice Speaker of Georgia’s Parliament, former Vice Prime Minister of Georgia (2006-2012) during the 7th Kyiv Security Forum on Friday.
‘Now few people in the world believe that the Ukrainian people will win the fight for its freedom. I, however, generally look with optimism at this. Of course, I don’t know how long the fight is going to last. However, it will be not so long as many people think. I am absolutely sure that it will be the end of Putin’s Russia. It will be the end of Russia that is imperialist and expansionist’, he stated.
The former high-ranking Georgian official is sure that it will bring freedom not only to Ukraine but ‘accordingly, give guarantees of freedom and territorial integrity to Georgia and other East European countries’. Besides, it ‘will bring freedom to the Russian people’, Giorgi Baramidze pointed out.
‘And we will live in a different world. However, the situation can become worse before getting better, and we must be ready for that’, he said. The ex-Vice Premier of Georgia is sure that the West must be ready to suffer certain losses in its response to the Russian aggression ‘to avoid paying 100 times more later’.
Giorgi Baramidze reiterated that the Ukrainian people ‘having such a mighty will to be free’ is going to win.
‘Nothing can stop people having such a historical aspiration. We know that many nations survived just because they demonstrated an aspiration for freedom’, he stated.
