At the 15th annual Kyiv Security Forum, focusing on the issue of Ukraine’s accession to NATO, the KSF Security Council was established – a high-level advisory group with the participation of well-known international and Ukrainian public personas.

The KSF Security Council includes Anthony Abbott, the Prime Minister of Australia in 2013-15, Andrius Kubilius the Prime Minister of Lithuania in 1999-2000 and 2008-12, General David Petraeus, the Commander of the US Central Command in 2008-10, the CIA Director in 2011-12, Taavi Roivas, Prime Minister of Estonia in 2014-16, Natalie Yaresko, Chairperson of the Aspen Institute Kyiv Supervisory Board, Minister of Finance of Ukraine in 2014-16.

The KSF Security Council is akin to a group of “the wise men and women” whose authority and experience will enforce the world’s support of Ukraine, its defense and security, as well as economic revival.

The Council will hold its regular meetings. It is expected that the fruits of its operation include public and non-public recommendations of the group, focusing on the current problems of war and peace.

The Kyiv Security Forum intends to hold regular meetings of the Council and its members with the public, experts, scientific, academic and student circles.

The membership in the Council will expand with time.

The Kyiv Security Forum, founded by Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s “Open Ukraine” Foundation, is the main platform of our country for discussing issues of war and peace, national and global security.
