Michal Szczerba: The entire Russian state functions as a collective terrorist
One of the main objectives for European politicians is to convey the truth to their people about the realities of the Russian war in Ukraine, contrary to Russian propaganda.
This was emphasized by Michal Szczerba, the Vice President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Deputy Head of the Permanent Delegation of Poland to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly at the 15th annual Kyiv Security Forum, established by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s “Open Ukraine” Foundation.
“This is not only Putin’s war, it is Russia’s war. We, the NATO PA, have already emphasized that Russia is a terrorist state. That is, the entire Russian state functions as a collective terrorist. Also, this state is committing genocide against Ukraine, and that was emphasized in the Declaration adopted a few days ago," he said.
Michal Szczerba emphasized that changing the mindset of the Russians is a lengthy process. Countering disinformation disseminated by the aggressor state ought to be conducted right now.
“All Russian diplomats utilizing disinformation against Ukraine and about the war should undergo expulsion,” he is convinced.
“It is our mission, as European politicians, to have no fear to articulate current events in the language of truth and to convey this message across to our societies and our parliaments,” – emphasized the representative of the Permanent Delegation of Poland to the NATO PA.
Noteworthy, the 15th annual Kyiv security forum “For Our and Your Freedom/ Fighting for NATO” will be held on May 25-26, 2023, with the participation of well-known international figures. In particular, at the Forum, the KSF Security Council will be formed and a policy document will be adopted with recommendations for the NATO summit in Vilnius to be held this July.
