US Ambassador Brink: The defeat of Russia is of great importance for the whole world

Ukraine will definitely win the war against russia, and this will be of great importance for the whole world.

This was stated by the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Bridget Brink during the Kyiv Security Forum, founded by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation “Open Ukraine”.

“I am 100% convinced that Ukraine will win. I have no doubt about it. I think this is clear not only to me, but also to the whole world. And the strategic defeat of russia is of great importance not only for Ukraine, but also for the entire world, for all democratic countries, for all people who want to be free. For us, this is an absolutely unequivocal path to the future – the path to victory,” she said.

The US ambassador also emphasized the importance of holding russia accountable for war crimes.

“I traveled through Ukraine and had the opportunity to see the consequences of Russia’s barbaric actions in Ukraine. Those who committed these atrocities must be brought to justice,” Brigitte Brink said.

The head of the diplomatic mission emphasized that the issue of reparations and assistance to Ukraine remains important.

“A lot of destruction was caused to Ukraine. The USA and the whole world are committed to the fact that Ukraine needs to be assisted to rebuild. The United States have already provided Ukraine with approximately $33 billion in military, humanitarian, and economic aid. For the next fiscal year, President Biden proposed to allocate another $37 billion. And I want to assure you that this is not only the position of the authorities – every American and American woman shares this opinion,” the ambassador said.
