Russian terror is incapable of breaking the will of Ukrainians, - a sociologist

Russia will not be able to break the confidence and determination of the Ukrainians.

These were the words by the Executive Director of the Democratic Initiatives Foundation named after Ilko Kucheriv, Petro Burkovskyi during the Kyiv Security Forum, founded by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation “Open Ukraine”.

“For example, we polled people in Mykolaiv – a city that is constantly under Russian shelling – whether  they believe that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can liberate Kherson. And the vast majority of people who remained in Mykolaiv and did not leave said “yes, naturally, they can,” he said.

“This means that people not only believe, but also spared no effort to liberate Kherson,” Petro Burkovskyi said.

He also reported that the majority of the Ukrainians were not ready for any compromises with putin's Russia even before the war.

”After the invasion, the situation changed, but the determination of Ukrainians only went up. The majority of the Ukrainians think that the victory means full and complete withdrawal of the russian troops from the entire territory of Ukraine,” the sociologist said. 

“Ukrainians cannot be forced to make compromises,” summed up Petro Burkovskyi.
