Reznikov criticized the desire of some countries to help Kremlin save face
Europe invests in its own security by strengthening Ukraine, so the efforts of some countries to save the Kremlin’s face and limit military assistance to Ukraine are illogical.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, in a video message during the Kyiv Security Forum, founded by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation “Open Ukraine”.
“Iranian drones, which are currently being tested in combat conditions, fly thousand kilometers. It is only a matter of time when terrorist states use them against the countries adhering to the tactic of “not provoking the aggressor,” he said.
“Under such conditions, it is illogical to try and assist the Kremlin to “save” its face, and limit military assistance to Ukraine,” the Defense Minister emphasized.
Oleksiy Reznikov emphasized that reinforcing Ukraine is investing into safeguarding Europe from officially recognized threats.
“In order for compatibility with the Alliance to be complete, Ukraine needs to integrate into some data exchange protocols, into joint systems, air defense, anti-missile defense, as well as tanks and aircrafts,” he said.
“That’s when Europe is guaranteed to receive more than a thousand kilometers of safe space both in the skies and on the ground, and the Black Sea once again becomes safe waters for free navigation," Reznikov summarized.
