The russians will not be able to organize a blackout in Ukraine, - the general director of DTEK
russia will not be able to bring to fruition its plans to completely disconnect Ukraine from electricity.
This was said by the CEO of DTEK, Maksym Tymchenko, during the Kyiv Security Forum, founded by Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation “Open Ukraine”.
“We are more than certain, especially after the attack last week, that the russians have no chance of plunging Ukraine into darkness,” he said.
Tymchenko reported that as of today there are still electricity generation shortages across Ukraine.
“Not a single energy system in the world has ever experienced this. We managed to restore the supply. We know how to overcome similar situations,” he said.
At the same time, the DTEK CEO urged not to underestimate the enemy, because it knows our energy system and its weak links.
He mentioned that the main issue today is the transfer of electricity from generation stations to consumers.
“This is where we experience electricity deficit. And here we call on our international partners for support," said Maksym Tymchenko.
