Tusk assured that the elections in Poland will not affect support for Ukraine

Ukraine can count on the unquestionable support of Poland in its fight against russian aggression, and the upcoming elections will not change anything in this issue.

This is what the President of the European Council in 2014-19, Polish politician Donald Tusk said in his video message at the Kyiv Security Forum, founded by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation “Open Ukraine”.

“We are to have elections. I know that putin and his administration expect and wait for governments and peoples in Europe to start quarreling with each other, and that because of energy prices, and the economic crisis, and the war fatigue, the political destabilization comes into play,” he said.

“But I can assure you that we, the Poles, remain steadfast in our consistent support of Ukraine. The same is true in the international arena,” Tusk stressed.

“I am convinced that we and the current government in Poland continue doing our utmost to ensure that world experiences no fatigue of this war. We’ll do our best that the West, the EU, and all our neighbors consistently continue supporting Ukraine,” he added.

Donald Tusk noted that Poland perfectly understands that Ukraine “needs munitions, not applause, that you need modern weaponry and comprehensive support: political, logistical, financial and, above all, support with weaponry and munitions.

“I would like to assure you that you can count on Poland regardless of the situation, and all the way until victory,” he summarized.
