European Union wants that money they invest into Ukraine served the people and not the small group, Viola Con Cramon-Taubadel, Vice-Chair of the Delegation to the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee stated during Kyiv Security Forum online discussion.

"When we pour a lot of money into the country we have even bigger interest to see that the money goes in the right direction, the money has to serve the people and not a small group of people, not some particular oligarchs and not friends of the government," she said.

"I don’t know whether all the projects in terms of environmental or rule of law were really capable to pour the money. I hope that COVID-19 response measurements are also democratically  controlled by the EU Delegation in Ukraine and the European Parliament," member of the EU Parliament added.

As the same time Viola Von Cramon-Taubadel underlined, that Europeans are really committed to the reforms in Ukraine and we would like to see Ukraine even closer to the European Union.
