Marcin Przydacz: Conflict in Donbas must be resolved via Minsk agreements

Poland supports the peaceful settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine by implementing the provisions of the Minsk agreements. Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Mr. Marcin Przydacz had pointed out this in his special address during the 12th Kyiv Security Forum, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation.

"The Russian-Ukrainian conflict is considered to be one of the most serious challenges to the international community, therefore, it has a high priority for us. We are in favour of a peaceful settlement of the issue through the Minsk agreements, we can not afford yet another frozen conflict in Europe to be brought. There were enough of them already," the diplomat said.

He also noted that Poland is the country that advocates for expanding of EU assistance to Ukraine.

Speaking about the issues of common history, the diplomat underlined that Poland and Ukraine are close partners.

"A nationalist narrative can be the basis of politics, but it should not define it. We want an open and constructive dialogue about our past," the Deputy Minister clarified.
