Giedrius Sakalauskas: Efforts should be united to combat Russia's propaganda
Mr. Giedrius Sakalauskas, the Res Publica Expert - Civic Resilience Center (Lithuania) believes that in order to resist Russia's propaganda spreading in different countries, it is necessary to unite efforts and exchange experience. He stated this during the 12th Kyiv Security Forum, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation.
"Russian propaganda and disinformation become more and more sophisticated. I believe that the most important for democratic countries is to be united in this struggle", Mr. Sakalauskas. In his opinion, it is necessary that people who deal with this problem exchange experience.
He added that Lithuania had managed to achieve some success in the information space and the fight against propaganda through public initiatives. According to Mr. Sakalaukas, now in Lithuania "there are no Russian trolls, but there are local idiots".
