Nicolas Tenzer: While the idea of enlargement in the EU is not very popular, a number of countries need to be incorporated into the Union

Mr. Nicolas Tenzer, President of the Center for Study and Research for Political Decisions, is convinced of the need to include a number of countries in the European Union, in particular, Ukraine. He said this during the 12th Kyiv Security Forum organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation.

"The idea of enlargement is not very popular in the EU, but we must include Serbia, Montenegro, Georgia, Ukraine. Do you want them to be influenced by Russia or have a European perspective?", he stressed.

Speaking about Brexit, Mr. Tenzer noted that all European countries should be unanimous in certain geopolitical issues.

"If we can not unravel the tangle of economic relations, because there are differences, then a commitment to common values must be preserved. I think the audience supports me in that the EU should not accept a project like Nord Stream, and in general it's unacceptable to talk about trade with Russia," he stressed.
