Andrew Wilson: Ukraine should develop as much solidarity relationship as possible

Ukraine should develop as much solidarity relations as possible, and not focus only on NATO and the EU, said Mr. Andrew Wilson, Senior Policy Fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations (Great Britain). He stated this during the 12th Kyiv Security Forum organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation.

"Ukraine needs to build as much relations of solidarity as possible, not only with NATO and the EU. The more is the better, because then there will be less dangerous scenarios", he said.

According to Wilson, the UK had begun negotiations on Brexit 2,5 years ago without a plan.

“You cannot start negotiations without a plan... Today, the UK could become the border between something and something. We will produce strange alliances, we cease to be in the epicentre of the Union, we are on the edge, and this weakens us. If Ukraine is outside the EU, it is weaker. This is also applicable to the UK,” he underlined.
