The 12th Kyiv Security Forum will take place on April 11-12
The Kyiv Security Forum, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation, will take place on April 11-12. This year, the Forum will gather a record number of participants — over 1000. Among them are high-ranking officials of Ukrainian state and state leadership, diplomats, and esteemed experts from over 20 countries.
The title of this year’s Forum is “Restless Wave: the Strategic Choice of Ukraine and the West”. The image of a “restless wave” is a reference to John McCain’s book of the same name, whose legacy, and support for Ukraine in particular, we look to honor at this year’s Forum.
The Kyiv Security Forum, which will take place between the first and second round of the presidential elections, will mainly focus on the foreign policy and security priorities of the candidates, as well as on the upcoming parliamentary elections and the formation of a parliamentary coalition.
The topics of conversations for the Forum’s 15 panel discussions: the strategic choice of Ukraine and the West and the political, economic, security and cultural interdependence between Ukraine and the Western world.
A separate discussion will be dedicated to the relationship between Ukraine and NATO and the prospects of receiving an action plan for joining the Alliance. The Euro-Atlantic theme will also be at the center of the American panel — a wide-ranging expert discussion on US foreign policy during Donald Trump’s presidency, which the Kyiv Security Forum will hold in conjunction with the Atlantic Council.
The Forum will also host a series of regional sessions, including a panel on the strategic partnership between Kyiv and Warsaw and a special event dedicated to the security aspects of the collaboration between Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova.
