Arseniy Yatsenyuk: Five NATO Aid Packages to Ukraine should be Expanded
“The five aid packages offered by NATO to Ukraine should be expanded: training, joint exercise, aid to veterans, aid to those whose health was affected as a result of Russian military aggression, and countering the Russian cyber attacks,” the leader of the People’s Front Party Arseniy Yatseniuk stressed, answering the questions of journalists within the framework of the 11th Kyiv Security Forum on Friday, March 13.
“This should imply defensive weapons, new technologies, and, eventually, Ukraine’s membership in NATO and in the European Union,” he stressed.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk reminded that the U.S. had decided to provide defensive weapons to Ukraine. At the same time, he stressed, the clear position of all the allies was necessary: “The Security Forum is not just a signal but a very clear message for all of our Western partners. We are protecting our and your borders. And our joint security is the priority”.

The annual international event Kyiv Security Forum was launched by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation Open Ukraine in 2007 as a platform for high-level discussions on the current issues in Europe and the Black Sea region. The Forum aims at increasing security cooperation between the EU and the Black Sea region, raising awareness about regional developments among key regional players, promoting the role of independent and non-governmental actors in setting the security agenda in Europe.
The event is being held with the support of NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine, the German Marshall Fund, The Victor Pinchuk Foundation, The Royal Institute of International Relations, Chatham House (UK), and The Regional Representative Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine.
