Danylo Lubkivsky: «Ukrainians have to formulate their identity in the XXI century»
Ukrainians should understand the humanitarian basis of their security and formulate their identity in the XXI century. Such opinion was expressed by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (2014) Danylo Lubkivsky during the 5th Kyiv Security Forum for Youth organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation.
«Today, in the conditions of life at the turn of generations, when the speed of our thinking is slow, but the time dictates the need for quick action, we are faced with a difficult question: how to act in such conditions. I think, first of all, we need to understand who we are. We must understand the humanitarian basis of our security and formulate our identity in the XXI century. The identity, which has national, ethical and other components,» - Danylo Lubkivsky said.
Also, he added that to answer this question, and all military challenges or any other dangers in the XXI century, we must have a critical mind and be open to the world.
«The main feature of a critical thinking is the beacon that we have to be guided by. Furthermore, we should not allow the closure, including the closure of our thinking. For Ukraine it primarily means the cultural opening before the world, explaining of its experience, its thinking and its contribution to global processes» - Danylo Lubkivsky summed up.
