The Marshall Fund: Ukraine is the integral part of the transatlantic family
The Marshall Fund considers Ukraine the integral part of the transatlantic family, said Bruno Lete, the GMF Senior Officer for Foreign and Security Policy during the 8th Kyiv Security Forum organized by Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation.
“During times of uncertainty the Marshall Fund shall continue working on the strengthening of the transatlantic relations and welcome the idea of strong Euro-Atlantic community. We see Ukraine as an integral part of the transatlantic family,” – Bruno Lete stressed.
He underlined the importance of maintaining of strong relationships between Ukraine and the USA, the EU and NATO. “We are sure these relations are vital for the welfare, prosperity and freedom of our countries”.
The representative of the Marshall Fund stated that Europe hasn’t experienced the land seizure practice since World War II. He also added the Donbas conflict threatens not only Ukraine’s sovereignty, but also “weakens the eastern frontline and creates danger for NATO and the EU members”.
“That is why not only Ukraine, but all of us, from the both sides of the Atlantic, have to respond to this challenge,” – Bruno emphasized.
