Dalia Grybauskaitė urged the global community to protect Ukraine’s right for territorial integrity
President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė urged democratic countries to defend Ukraine's right for self-determination and territorial integrity.
In video massage to the participants of the 8th Kyiv Security Forum organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation, Dalia Grybauskaitė said that the world community should not condone exponential violation of universal democratic values, as it is demonstrated by the aggressor nowadays.
“It reminds us of our obligation to protect the right of every state to freedom, self-determination, territorial integrity, the right to choose the alliances and own way of development,” – she said.
Lithuanian President wished peace for everyone. “I wish Ukraine courage and wisdom. You fight for your freedom, freedom of choice, the right to a prosperous future of Ukraine,” – added Dalia Grybauskaitė.

The annual international event ‘Kyiv Security Forum’, established by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation in 2007 is a platform for discussion of the most pressing issues concerning the security in Europe and the Black Sea region. The Forum is aimed at promoting security cooperation between the European Union and the Black Sea Region, raising awareness of the development of security among key players and strengthening the role of independent and non-governmental actors in solving security problems in Europe.
