Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine Graduated in 1959 from Kyiv Automobile and Road Technical School. Mechanical technician for maintenance and operation of motor transport. In 1967 graduated with honors from Kyiv Taras Shevchenko State University specialization - International law. During 1967-1968 Mr. Turyanskyy was inspector of Kyiv Customs Office of Ministry for Foreign Trade of the U.S.S.R. In 1968-1971 Ambassador was senior inspector of Ministry of Internal Affairs of the U.S.S.R. Then for 8 years he was Second, First secretary, Chancellor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the U.S.S.R. In 1979-1986 Mr. Turyanskyy was first secretary of the U.S.S.R. Permanent Mission to the United Nations, New York City, the U.S.A. Also in 1986-1990 he was counselor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the U.S.S.R. In 1990-1992 - Head of Section at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the U.S.S.R. 1992-1997 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Turkey and in 1997-2000 – Head of Territorial Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. In 2000-2004 H.E. Mr. Turyanskyy was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of South Africa, with concurrent accreditation to Mozambique, Zambia and Namibia. During 2005-2007 Ambassador was consultant of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and in 2007-2012 - counselor to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights. Since 2012 he works as independent expert.
