Yulia Tymoshenko – Ukrainian businesswoman, statesperson, politician. Member of Ukrainian Parliament since 1997.
In the 1990’s, she was the head of a number of private companies involved in trading gasoline and natural gas and the mining of natural resources. Until 1997, she headed the leading gas trading company on the Ukrainian market, the “United Energy Systems of Ukraine” (UESU) corporation, whose turnover in 1996 amounted to $11 billion.
10th and 13th Prime Minister of Ukraine (2005, 2007-2010), Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for the Fuel and Energy Complex (1999-2001), one of the leaders of the "Orange Revolution" in 2004, the leader of the Batkivshchyna Party and the Tymoshenko Bloc.
