
Yevhen HLIBOVYTSKY
Yevhen Hlibovytsky is a strategy adviser to civil society organizations and business initiatives aiming to transform Ukraine into a sustainable democracy. He is the founder of pro.mova, a think tank and a consultancy, which researches social values in Ukraine and other post-Soviet countries. He is a member of Nestor Group, an interdisciplinary group of 17 experts, working on long-term vision for Ukraine. In 2007-2011 he was one of co-founders and a member of Univska Group in Lviv, which was one of the first success cases in developing long-term vision in Ukraine.
In his previous career Yevhen Hlibovytsky was a journalist covering political affairs. He was one of the leaders of journalist resistance against censorship in 2001-2004 and remains a vocal supporter of freedom of speech. In 2013 Yevhen Hlibovytsky co-founded hromadske.tv, where he remains a member of supervisory board. He also is a member of supervisory board of Ukrainian Public Service Broadcast. In 2003 he was one of the founders of Channel 5 TV, which was developed as a response to government control of the media and censorship in private media.
Yevhen Hlibovytsky graduated from Kyiv-Mohyla Academy majoring in political science. He also studied law in Lviv State University, and philosophy in Bluffton University, OH, USA.
