Chair of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence of the European Parlament, Member of the European Parlament, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Poland (2006-2007)

Anna Fotyga graduted Foreign Trade Faculty, the University of Gdańsk. Mrs. Fotyga started her professional career in the Foreign Department of the Solidarity Trade Union in 1981. After 1989 Mrs. Fotyga was an expert and Head of the Foreign Department of Solidarity. She served as Deputy Mayor of Gdańsk (2002-2004), Member of European Parliament (2004-2005), Foreign Minister of Poland (2006-2007), Chief of President's Chancellery (President Lech Kaczynski, 2007-2008), foreign relations expert Law and Justice party, Member of Sejm, the lower chamber of Polish Parliament.
